Our Team
We love what we do! We believe that everyone has a unique healing journey, and we are dedicated to providing exceptional care, tailored to each one of our patients. Our number one goal is to help you heal and restore your balance. Our approach is holistic and patient-focused - we treat you as a whole person, not a set of symptoms. In most cases, we use a combination of natural treatments customized specifically for you, based on a thorough consultation of your health and wellness goals. We are inspired every day by our patients' healing stories; it's what drives us to help many others experience their own life-transforming recoveries and thrive.
Dr. Min Choi L.Ac.
Medical Director
A licensed acupuncturist and owner of the T.Y. Wellness Center in Los Angeles, Calif., Dr. Min Choi relies on years of experience to solve chronic problems and improve overall well-being.
He practiced at a large medical facility in Beijing, China, often seeing up to 100 patients a day. Over the course of a decade, he treated thousands of individuals, many suffering from severe skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis. His goal is to alleviate the symptoms of dermatological issues by finding the root cause of the problem.
"I graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine & received my Medical Doctor License in China. I have practiced and specialized in Dermatology & Depression in Beijing Tongrentang Hospital for over ten years, treating thousands of patients with various skin disorders. I specialized in dermatology including: Acne, Eczema, Atopic dermatitis, Psoriasis, Urticaria, Hives, Vitiligo and other skin discomfort such as itchy, scaly, and dry skin. Over 80% of patients with skin problems also suffer many different internal issues such as Depression/Anxiety, Sleep/Insomnia, Respiratory problems, and Digestive problems including Elimination/Bowel problems as well.
I have always emphasized that the doctor can treat the disease but cannot change the patient's habitual style, meaning that patients also take a big role in their treatment. Skin problems / disorders have been considered as one of the most difficult diseases to treat."
Taking a non-steroidal approach to treating skin conditions, Dr. Choi offers a customized treatment varying according to each person’s condition. Some will require acupuncture and herbal treatment on a session by session basis, while those with severe skin problems are treated with long-term protocols. With a step by step approach, Dr. Choi strives to determine the initial cause, current disease status and best possible treatment path.
"I usually recommend Traditional Herbal Medicine as the primary treatment for skin problems; however, acupuncture will also be used as needed. I provide a non-steroidal / chemical-free treatment approach that helps to maximize your immune system's ability to fight the disease and regain optimum health through a safe, natural healing process."
